Resources for the SNAP Gap 2025 in North and South Carolina

With SNAP benefits reduced as the emergency fund is used until depleted, individuals and families reliant on food assistance are asking “Where can I get food right now?” 


Whether you are in Charlotte looking for food or in the area, Insight Carolinas has compiled a list of food resources to assist those facing food insecurity. The list below is subject to change, so please follow up with the agencies listed below for the most up to date information:

Mecklenburg County

Second Harvest Food Bank Metrolina (list of locations and times) 

Hope Street Food Pantry

Double Bucks Program provides $50 in tokens at participating farmers markets for SNAP recipients by showing an active SNAP/EBT card and photo ID.

Hearts and Hands provides food pickup services, food delivery services, baby products, and groceries. They also have services in Spanish 

Nourish Up: We provide nutritious groceries through a network of food pantries, grocery home delivery, and healthy meals through our Meals on Wheels program. Whether you need a week’s worth of groceries to feed you and your family or a prepared meal delivered directly to your door, we’re here to help. 

HUG Charlotte provides dog and cat food, diapers, groceries and more.
